Dr. Wong is a graduate of Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, with a degree in Biology. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. After completing his Internal Medicine training at U.C.L.A., he finished his cardiology training at Harbor-U.C.L.A. Medical Center, where he was a Chief Fellow.
Board certified in Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Wong specializes in non-invasive detection of coronary artery disease. In addition to managing complex patients with congestive heart failure, angina, and arrhythmias, he also performs angiogram and transesophageal echocardiogram, a specialized method of evaluating the heart muscle and its valves. He is an attending physician at major hospitals in the San Fernando Valley, including Providence Tarzana Regional Medical Center, West Hills Medical Center, and Motion Picture Hospital. Dr. Wong has been with Cardiology Consultants since 2002.
A member of the American College of Physician, American Heart Association, and American College of Cardiology, Dr. Wong also finds time to be involved in the Yale Club of Southern California. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Cardiology.
Dr. Wong has published in the area of geriatric medicine, and was a Young Investigator Award winner for the Duke Clinical Research Institute.
